The word healing means "to make whole"…
Many ancient holistic systems recognize that we are already whole, and the path of healing is to re-member this.
As a practitioner of healing arts, Jeanine treats people, not illness, helping her clients remember their wholeness.
Counseling and all other services are holistic, client-centered, trauma-informed, and eclectic
Body * Heart * Spirt * Mind * Soul:
a spiral path
BODY: You are embodied, incarnate. Your body connects you to Mother Earth, and is a microcosm of all that is. The body holds our unconscious knowing, our instincts, and crucial teachings for our lives. Together, we will honor, heal, and listen to your body. It can be our guide for healing trauma, becoming grounded and present, and connecting daily living to the Sacred. I offer yoga practices, somatic meditation, trauma protocols, and ceremonies to help you heal, love, and harmonize your body. In the spiral path, the body is the Earth element.
HEART: Your heart is your center for integration, and loving wisdom. This is the center of your emotions, compassion, and relationships. Many of us hold grief, woundedness, and heartbreak as well as layers of armoring and protection in the heart. Together, we will work gently to acknowledge and heal the wounds here, and fortify your trust in your own heart so you can shed the armor and open. When your heart is open, you can freely give and receive love — indeed, you can be Love. And you can access the profound wisdom, not only of your emotions, but also of your center. In the spiral path, the heart is the Water element.
SPIRIT: In this healing model, I distinguish Spirit from Soul. Spirit refers to Great Spirit, of which you are part. It is the vast wholeness and unity consciousness always available to you. It has many names, but cannot really be named or described. When we work with Spirit, I will support you in remembering that you are connected, held, sacred, and essentially whole. We will heal areas of separation, isolation, and fragmentation in your life. Primary ways of doing this healing work are through your breath (Pranayama), meditation, connection to Nature, and healing wounds of trust, betrayal, violation, and relationship. Creative expression is also an important part of this healing. In the spiral path, Spirit is the Air element.
MIND: In our healing work together we may work with the mind through psychotherapy to change patterns of thought and belief that are harmful, to develop your awareness, or to train your attention. We may do trauma work to heal unresolved memories and experiences. Alternatively, or complimentarily, I may guide you in meditation practices or processes of developing your intuitive mind. The masculine side of our mind is intellect; the feminine is intuition. Both are powerful ways of knowing. We can utilize the transformative potential of your mind to alchemize suffering and imagine new worlds. In the spiral path, the mind is the fire element.
SOUL: Your soul, in this framework, is your essence. It is your deepest, most fundamental, true, and timeless core. It is unique to you. It is the place of wholeness, integration, and development along your Earthly and spiritual journey. Soul healing will involve reclaiming disowned parts, loving all of yourself, and bringing together the wisdom of body, heart, spirit, and mind. For this I use journeying (visionary) practices for guidance. We will connect with the unseen realms for support in harmonizing the elements of you to activate your purpose and potential. The soul is the center of the spiral path, the element of space.
Why a Spiral?…coming soon
Trauma-Informed
As both a trauma-survivor and trained practitioner in the treatment of trauma, all of the work I do with clients is trauma-informed. This means that I take into strong consideration your trauma history and its effects. This is why a holistic approach is necessary. When an event or circumstance is experienced as traumatic, it often effects physical and neurological wellbeing, emotion regulation, thinking, attention, memory, relationships, trust, social functioning, self-care, and processing. My intention and training is to hold your experiences with compassion, understanding, open-mindedness, and trust in your resilience and capacity to heal.

FAQs
How long does counseling take?
It depends…if you have a very specific issue you want to work on, it could take as few as 6 sessions. For EMDR, at least 12 sessions are recommended. Some people choose to be in counseling long-term at varying intervals for self-care and/or complex concerns.
How available will you be to me if we work together?
This depends. As your counselor, I offer availability through text and email. You can always contact me or a crisis hotline if needed. Generally though, we will just communicate during sessions, which are often weekly.
As your coach, I am available to you on weekdays for support and questions via text. Additionally, we will meet weekly.
What is the difference between counseling and coaching?
While they do overlap, counseling or psychotherapy focuses on mental health and healing psychological wounds or conditions. Coaching is more about targeting behaviors, goals, habits, and actions you want to take to be your best self — and finding both encouragement and accountability in doing so.
